FRS Energy Drink - no doubt, this is one of the newest and most talked about energy drink today. Lance Armstrong, Derek Fisher - I’m sure these names sound familiar. And according to the website, they are some of the most ardent supporters of FRS Energy Drink together with the health benefits they bring.
HOWEVER, it doesn’t mean you should jump in the bandwagon and be a FRS Energy Drink user. Before you integrate what is arguably the most popular energy drink today in your diet, why NOT have a look at the reviews and studies about this health energy drink? That should help you make a wiser decision. Let’s take a look:
FRS Energy Drink Reviews 1
In an independent, randomized, double blind, as well as placebo controlled cross over study, it was shown that when 12 healthy and active (BUT not trained) men and women take in Quercetin (500 mg) mixed in an enriched beverage twice and straight for 7 days, they all experienced an average increase of 13.2 percent in their ride time before being exhausted. Along with that, these subjects also showed a 3.9 percent increase in their maximum oxygen consumption.

Again, in another double blind, placebo controlled, and independent study concerning the benefits and effects of FRS Energy Drink on the performance of 11 top level cyclists, the subjects have shown a 3.1 percent increase and improvement in time to complete their simulated 30 KM time trial race in mountainous and unforgiving terrain when they are given FRS and consumed it for 3 straight weeks.

Next, we have a scientific study with mice as subjects - looking closely at the effects of Quercetin supplementation for 7 straight days (more specifically examining mitochondrial biogenesis). And what was the end result? VERY favorable! Results have shown that Quercetin supplementation has improved the mitochondrial biogenesis (just in case you don’t know, this is the production mitochondria at a cellular level), especially in the muscle as well as brain of the mice.
For those of you who don’t know it, the increase in mitochondria means an increase in both the maximum endurance and running capacity as well as the active involvement of the subjects in physical activity. In simpler terms, the more mitochondria you have at the cellular level, the more energy you produce.
FRS Energy Drink Review 4
Last BUT not the least, in a randomized, double blind, and placebo controlled clinical research and study, it was shown that the antioxidant found abundant in FRS (that’s Quercetin) has dramatically and greatly reduced the occurrence of diseases in the upper respiratory tract during the two week period which follows an intensive exercise.
In this study, there were 40 test subjects and they were all subject to strenuous physical activities during the 5 week testing and study period. Half of these 40 test subjects were given 100 mg of Quercetin while the other half - 20 test subjects were given a placebo instead.
The result?
The incidence of infection in the upper respiratory tract were significantly decreased in the Quercetin group - 1 out of 20 subjects suffered from infection, while the other group showed a much higher incidence of infection - 9 out of 20 athletes.
